STRENGTH OF GOD!

STRENGTH OF GOD!

“I am as STRONG this day as in the day when Moses sent me (40 years old); as my STRENGTH was then, even so is my STRENGTH now (85 years old), for war, both to go out, and come in” (Caleb, Joshua 14:11).

1) STRENGTH comes by wholeheartedly FOLLOWING GOD, as Caleb did: “I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart. Nevertheless, my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt (courage of the people fail), but I wholly followed the Lord my God. So Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God.’ And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in” (Joshua 14:7-11).

2) STRENGTH comes by WAITING on the LORD: “But those who wait on the Lord

shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

3) STRENGTH is KNOWING God is with you wherever you go: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

4) STRENGTH comes by having a STRONG GODLY MENTOR: Esther had Mordecai: “And Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman was lovely and beautiful. When her father and mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter” (Esther 2:7); Ruth had Naomi: “Entreat (urge) me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me” (Ruth 1:16-17).

5) STRENGTH is in the POWER OF AGREEMENT: “Again (assuredly) I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20).

6) STRENGTH does not FAINT in times of adversity: “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small” (Proverbs 24:10).

7) CHRIST is our STRENGTH to do all things: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

“GOD is our REFUGE and STRENGTH, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

“The LORD is my LIGHT and my SALVATION; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the STRENGTH of my life; of whom shall I be afraid” (Psalm 27:1).

“Heavenly Father, I love You and adore You. You are the STRENGTH of my life, and breath in my nostrils. I LIVE, BREATHE, and HAVE MY LIFE OF STRENGTH AND SALVATION in YOU. I am FOREVER GRATEFUL to You. Thank You for keeping me in YOUR STRENGTH and GRACE all the days of my life. In Your Precious Holy Name, I pray. Amen.”
