Preservation from Judgment – The Blood of Jesus!

Preservation from Judgment –

The Blood of Jesus!

“For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night and strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt” (Exodus 12:12-13).

God judged Egypt for enslaving the people of His covenant, the Jews, with slavery and hard taskmasters. Egypt forgot the goodness it enjoyed through the leadership of Joseph and a wicked leadership enslaved the descendants of Joseph because of their prosperity and explosive growth.

God protected the Jews in Goshen and preserved them from the 10 plagues with which He plagued Egypt. The final plague was the destruction of all the firstborn males in Egypt because of Pharoah’s own doing four decades ago when he killed all the male children of the Jews.

What did God do with the people of His covenant? He commanded them to assemble in their homes to celebrate Passover with their doorposts covered by the blood of the Passover Lamb. There was no dissension among the ranks, and everyone followed the command of God to stay under the blood for their protection and preservation.

The Blood of Jesus is Our Protection!

The Passover Lamb for our protection is Jesus.  John the Baptist testified of Jesus: “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world’” (John 1:29).

Jesus paid the price for our sins and iniquities on the cross: “But He was wounded (pierced through) for our transgressions, He was bruised (crushed) for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes (blows that cut in) we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

Every believer that has received Jesus with the confession of their mouths and belief in their hearts is protected by the blood of Jesus. You do not need a theological degree or operate with the gifts of the Spirit, but you are protected as a baby in Christ.

Many years ago, I was called to minister deliverance to a young girl, 18 years old.  She was possessed by a Hindu goddess worshiped by billions of people. The girl was very violent in destroying her home not in her natural strength but by the strength of the demon possessing her. As soon as I walked into her home with another brother in the Lord, this demon departed, and she was free for a moment.  No deliverance was needed at that hour, but I felt led to lead her to the Lord.  She knelt and received Jesus joyfully in her heart. We left her home.  Later I received a call from this precious young lady who said this: “Brother John, the goddess that left me while you were here came back to me only to stay outside of me.  She could not come inside of me.  I heard her say, ‘You have been taken possession of the Most Holy God of the universe, whose Name I am not worthy even to mention. I cannot come inside of you and live anymore in you.  I am gone, gone, and gone!’” The protection and preservation of God is for all God’s children, newborns, and adults regardless of denominational affiliation, caste, creed, and gender.

Here is How the Blood of Jesus Makes Us Whole!

Cleansing through the Blood: “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (I John 1:7). Jesus healed the sick and cleansed the lepers.  The cleansing of the lepers resulted in the healing as well as the restoration of the limbs they had lost to leprosy. The blood of Jesus cleanses a believer to make them anew as a newborn babe in Christ Jesus.

Sanctified (Set Apart) by the Blood: “For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies (sets apart) for the purifying (cleansing) of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot (blemish) to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:13-14). We can have a clear conscience only through the washing of our minds by the blood of Jesus. When a temptation arises, immediately pronounce “The blood of Jesus,” and the temptation will be gone. When our conscience is washed and covered by the blood of Jesus, not only can we overcome the temptation but also avoid being a temptation or distraction to someone else. The thought, “I am set apart for my God,” “I am God’s and God’s alone” is never-leaving and ever-consuming!

“…We have been sanctified (set apart) through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Hebrews 10:10).

Redeemed by the Blood: “Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible (perishable) things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and spot” (I Peter 1:18-19). We are purchased and redeemed by the blood of Jesus and have access to all the redemptive works of the blood of Jesus – healing, deliverance, and restoration.

And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation’” (Revelation 5:9). This song of the redeemed in heaven is sung by the Church from all nations!

Justified by the Blood: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him” (Romans 5:8-9). Justification is “just as we have never sinned.” While the wrath of God is reserved for the judgment of all who had rejected Him, justification is guaranteed to all His believers through the blood of Jesus.

Reconciliation by the Blood: “And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight” (Colossians 1:21-22). When you see a believer, you will see them content and at peace with themselves and with their surroundings. This is because they are reconciled with heaven. When you look at a person not washed by the blood of Jesus, they have no peace, however wealthy and educated they are.  There is nothing on earth or from heaven that will satisfy them because they lack reconciliation with a God who has made provision for it through the blood of Jesus!

Victory Over Satan by the Blood: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” (Revelation 12:11). Just as death could not pass through the blood on the doors of the Israelites in Egypt, Satan cannot cross the blood of Jesus shielding a believer.  Know it, live in it, thank God for it, and fight the enemy with that precious knowledge.  He was defeated at the cross and the blood of Jesus is a reminder to the devil who needs to be reminded.

Confidence to Enter the Holy of Holies by the Blood: “Therefore, brethren, having boldness (confidence) to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus” (Hebrews 10:19). In the Old Testament, only the high priest had access to enter the holy of holies to purify the elements through the sprinkling of the blood and to make intercession before the mercy seat. As soon as Jesus yielded His life on the cross, at that very moment, the veil separating the holy of holies and the holy place in the Temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom, granting access to all believers through the blood of Jesus. We have the boldness and confidence to enter the Holiest and to offer intercession as a chosen generation and a royal priesthood: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy” (I Peter 2:9-10). “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11).

Perfection through the Blood: “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete (perfect) in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21). Not in our strength but through the power of the blood of Jesus, we can achieve completion and perfection in every work to do His will. Here is what I have experienced – When I am on a task enabled by my Lord, I face distractions and deviations along the way, and immediately, I call upon the name of the Lord and say out loud, “The blood of Jesus,” and I am back on track to finish what is assigned to me.  It is not in our strength but by the grace that comes through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross of Calvary that I am what I am as Apostle Paul declares: “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me” (I Corinthians 15:10). Grace is misunderstood and even abused by so many teachings by different people, but one thing is irrefutable about the grace of God – THERE IS NO GRACE WITHOUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS SHED ON THE CROSS, AND WHEN WE ARE CONSCIOUS OF IT ALL THE TIME, WE WILL NOT MISUSE OR FRUSTRATE THE GRACE OF GOD! Apostle Paul surrenders his life to the cross with this revelation: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain (for nothing)” (Galatians 2:20-21)

The Blood of Jesus Gets God’s Attention: “Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel” (Hebrews 12:24). Abel’s blood cried out to God from the ground, and so is the blood of Jesus upon a believer that draws God, and God listens to the cry of the believer!

In conclusion, the only thing that redeems, intercedes, protects, preserves, cleanses, heals, delivers, reconciles, and purifies the conscience of a child of God is the BLOOD OF JESUS, shed on the cross of Calvary for my sins and our sins. When we open our hearts to salvation by the blood of Jesus and walk every day covered by the blood of Jesus, we will be strong enough to do God’s will to complete our lives with perfection in all that God has called us.  The single most important thing the enemy fears is also the BLOOD OF JESUS through which we will overcome the enemy.

We are given access by the divine grace of God through the blood of Jesus to come into the throne room of God to offer up praise and worship, confess our weaknesses, commune with God, and intercede for those around us.

There is nothing that protects us more than the blood of Jesus from the wrath and the judgment of God!

Prayer

“Heavenly Father, I love You and adore You and bow down before You. Thank You for the blood of Your Precious Son, Jesus, on the cross. Thank You, for the gift of Salvation by Your grace through Your Son. Help me, Lord, to walk in humility, conviction, and repentance, being mindful of Your grace. Thank You, Father, for protecting and preserving me from Your judgment. Help me to lead my life victoriously and blamelessly until I come to stand before You in Your holy presence. I plead with You, my Lord, for the preservation of all those whom You have given into my hands. In the Precious Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!  Amen!!”
