Heaven on Earth!

Heaven on Earth! Have you ever wondered what heaven is like? I have but a couple of glimpses of it, once in real-time as a teenager when God spared me from death from bleeding ulcers and in a couple of visions during prayer. I am no expert at knowing what heaven is like except what the Scriptures say about heaven. How would you like to have a little heaven on earth? God promises us heavenly blessings: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved” (Ephesians 1:3-6). The believers who walk with God will experience a part of heaven here on earth. There are seven important distinctions of heaven a believer enjoys here on the earth. God’s Will! Jesus prayed in the Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:9-10).

“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” – Heaven is governed by God’s perfect will. God’s children who are committed to doing God’s perfect will and yearn for it will be sure to experience heaven here on earth. God’s Word! "Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled (stands firm) in heaven” (Psalm 119:89). God’s Word is paramount and is settled firm in heaven. Believers who desire, seek God, and are committed to following God’s Word will be sure to experience heaven here on earth.

Agreement! Before the creation of man, God said: “’ Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ So, God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:26-27).

Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” – Let Us (Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likenessThere was unity and harmony in the Triune Godhead in the creation of man. God created them as male and female before He separated Eve from Adam. God’s perfect will joins two individuals in the holy matrimony to be ONE in agreement, harmony, and operation, just as God Himself has perfect agreement within the Godhead. There is no dispute, disagreement, or division in God and so will the family that God has formed together by His grace and according to His will. A perfect couple in God will experience heaven here on earth by the power of agreement: “Again (Assuredly) I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven” (Matthew 18:19). Perfect Knowledge! Heaven is filled with perfect knowledge because the All-Knowing God is the King of the place. Jesus operated with such knowledge here on the earth: “Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man” (John 2:23-25).

While perfect knowledge fills heaven, we are granted a portion of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of God by the power of the same Holy Spirit that filled Jesus here on earth: “There shall come forth a Rod (Shoot) from the stem (trunk) of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord” (Isaiah 11:1-2). The more a believer walks with God, the more he/she operates in the knowledge and the understanding of God to discern and perceive things not known to a common person. It is extraordinary but true that a believer can experience a part of heaven here on earth with the knowledge of God! No Sorrow, No Tears! Apostle John received the vision of heaven: “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4). Sorrow, Pain, Sickness, and Death are curses because of the breaking of the Law of God from Deuteronomy 28. John also saw and recorded this: “And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him” (Revelation 22:3).

While sorrow, pain, and suffering cannot be eliminated with the limitations of the human body that we carry, Apostle Peter writes of the promise of a divine nature through the divine power we carry from within: “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption (depravity) that is in the world through lust” (II Peter 1:2-4). Therefore, though not perfect, a believer can enjoy divine health through the divine nature of God. God grants them peace that passes all understanding to bring them out of conflicts, sufferings, and pain to enjoy heaven on earth. No Separation from God! John records: “They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads” (Revelation 22:4). Jesus prayed to the Father for His disciples (and all of us) to be with Him inseparably in heaven: “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world” (John 17:24). Jesus’ comforting words to His disciples before He went to the cross: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1-3).

There is no separation from God in heaven, but Jesus promises us life in God and with God ruling and reigning over us all the time if we love Him and obey Him: “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23). A believer that keeps and obeys God’s Word will experience heaven on earth with God dwelling in them all the time. I heard the voice of the Lord in my most excruciating times when I was close to death: “Don’t be afraid. I am with you to bring you out of this ordeal.” The cry of Jesus on the cross, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” only reminds us that Jesus was with His Father all the time even here on earth during His mission and He could not bear the separation of the Father because of our sin overwhelming Him on the cross. A believer yielded to God will enjoy God living within them and experience heaven here on earth! God’s Immense and Eternal Presence! Psalm 16, a Messianic Psalm, is the prediction of the resurrection of the King! Here is the proclamation of King Jesus that He will not be left in the place of the dead but will be lifted to God’s presence, full of joy and pleasures: “I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will (securely) rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol (The abode of the dead), nor will You allow Your Holy One to see (undergo) corruption. You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:7-11).

God’s presence brings immense and eternal joy free from the corruption of death and destruction. Everlasting joy, everlasting peace, and eternal bliss are all the experiences of God’s presence in heaven. A believer on earth will experience joy if not in its fullness and pleasures at times and all the time if not forevermore. Such a believer experiences heaven on earth with God’s holy presence filling their lives! God’s Will Governs Heaven! A Believer Walking in the Will of God Will Experience Heaven! God’s Word is Settled Without Dispute in Heaven! A Believer Anchored in God’s Word Will Experience Heaven! There is Perfect Agreement and Harmony in the Triune Godhead! A Believer Walking in Agreement with God Will Have the Peace of Heaven! Heaven is Full of Perfect Knowledge! A Believer Filled with the Holy Spirit Experiences Part of this Knowledge Revealed by the Holy Spirit! There is No Curse, Sorrow, or Pain in Heaven! A Believer is Set Free from the Curses, Perpetual Pain, and Sorrow Here on Earth by the Grace of God! There is No Separation from God in Heaven! The believer who Loves and Obeys God will have God Making His Eternal Home Here with Them on Earth! God’s Immense Presence Fills Heaven and so Will It Fill the Life of a Believer Here on Earth! There is Immense Joy A Believer Enjoys in the Presence of God!

Prayer “Heavenly Father, I love You and adore You and bow down before You. Let heaven come down and Your glory fill my soul. By Your love on the cross, You have restored me and made me whole. Thank You, Father, for my experience of heaven here on the earth. I am Yours, and Yours alone, O Lord. Amen! Amen!!”
